Because I want to be intentional about expressing my gratitude even when I don’t feel like it…
Day 9: I am a cerebral person, often stuck in my own head for hours at a time contemplating the most mundane stuff. Add a smartphone to that and poof! My humanity shrivels into nothing. Writing these gratitude posts have forced me to look outward and not only survey my surroundings but also connect to them and the people who populate my world.
Today, I am grateful for my family–a funny, ragtag bunch of goofs who bring me constant joy. Being married with kids was totally unexpected, yet remains the best thing that has ever happened to me. These 3 people make me better in every way imaginable. And as I quickly type this post before going back to our holiday dash through Nashville, I want to simply say: I love my family. They totally rock.
“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
Psalms 127:3 KJV
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9 KJV
